Robyn & Blake Plus Eight

Blake and I got to experience what life might be like with multiples, or in Jon and Kate's life with 8 kids! We took on eight 3 year olds at church today! The lady in charge of the Kids Zone at church today called me this morning asking me to be the substitute teacher for the 3 year old group! I just started helping out with the babies/kids at church. Blake decided to help me out too today! With the help of a teenage volunteer and the two of us, we successfully took eight 3 year olds to worship to watch Henry the puppet, returned back with all eight kids to teach a lesson about helping others, had snack time, and decorated canned goods for the hungry all without losing anybody! I think we got this parent stuff down, right? ;)

Baby Braxton is doing well. He's growing like a weed, which means so am I! He is becoming more and more active. He likes to sleep during the day and wake up to play soccer at night! Hmmm.....hopefully this is a habit he doesn't keep after he is born! Ha! Here is a picture of me after church today. I'm in the same outfit I was at 20 weeks. Today I am 23 1/2. Do you see a difference?

20 Weeks

23 Weeks 4 Days

Here are some pictures of the start of the nursery. We are going to paint the letters, recover the rocker, etc. Lots to do and less than 4 months to get it done!

Chelsy thinks that this is going to be her room. For more pictures, you can go to our picture website. Please continue to pray for us as we prepare to become parents and for my next doctor's appt. on Wed. Love to all!

Baby Brains

I have a lot of pictures to post, but my husband hasn't put them on the computer yet. (I should probably learn how to do that myself.) My parents came into town this past weekend, and we put them to work! (Thanks Mom & Dad!) Dad and Blake painted the nursery and put together (and took apart) and put together again the crib. While they did hard manual labor, we worked hard at the mall. If you have ever been shopping with my mother, you know how hard of work that really is! That woman can "out shop" me any day! We had a lot of fun and got some cute things and ideas for the nursery. I will post pics soon. Until then, you will just have to make do with this Belly Laughs comic. I've always heard of "baby brains" but never believed it. I tell you it is true! I have become so scatter brained, sometimes I don't know up from down! Other than that, I'm feeling great. Just growing everyday!

It's a BOY!

That's right! It's a sweet baby boy, and we couldn't be more thrilled! The most important thing was that everything looked normal and healthy. The Lord is good! Here is a picture of his little boy parts! The arrow is pointing to his pee pee and the part right below is the scrotum. (Sorry, I am a science teacher, so it doesn't bother me to say words like scrotum.)

The doctor recorded the sonogram on a DVD. Here is a link to take you to the video of the sonogram. At about 40-50 seconds, you can even see him stick out his tongue and swallow! That's my boy! The doctor even zoomed in on his toes and pointed out that the second toe is longer than the big toe. He said that is a dominant trait. I don't have that, so the baby must have Blake's feet! At about 8 minutes the doctor points out the boy parts. Thank you for all of the prayers and please continue to pray that the last half of this pregnancy goes well! Love to all!

Out Pops the Belly

After many months of looking really hard for a pooch in the mirror, it finally decided to pop out! I've been able to tell that I am pregnant for a couple of weeks, but I've had other people the last couple of days really start to notice. I feel like I wake up every morning, and I am a little bit bigger! Here is a picture from today. (I got the top on sale this weekend!)

20 Weeks

School has started, and I can tell a big difference in my energy level. I wear out a lot quicker and my feet kill me at the end of the day, and it's just going to get worse. I guess when you only sit down for about 30 minutes a day, you tend to be in pain. I am having to change my teaching style up a little bit and try to sit down more often.

Tomorrow is our big sonogram appointment! I feel like we have been waiting for this for forever! We just hope that the baby is turned just right to find out if it's a boy or a girl. We are also praying for a very healthy baby. As soon as we find out, I will try to post on here. We will probably send out emails too!

Papa Blake is doing great. He is staying really busy with work, but he loves it at the same time, so that makes me happy. He has been researching like crazy all the best baby products. (I know that may come as a surprise for some of you. LOL!) I come home everyday and hear, "Okay Babe, this is what I was thinking. I was doing some research today...."

Big Sister Chelsy is cute and spoiled as ever. We, by we I really mean Blake, have been researching good jogging strollers so that we can continue to take Chelsy on walks. She still goes to daycare and absolutely loves it. She knows where she is going as soon as we pull up and she runs through the door without even looking back to say goodbye. Here is a picture of her and I playing. Stay tuned until tomorrow......
